Ba Be lake tours

We walk uphill gradually on an easy path taking in more and more views of the rice paddies and the karst mountain formations and pass through Tày ethnic villages, pretty Tay villages. In an idyllic setting we discover Dao ethnic village, an attractive village of the Dao people and can admire their well ordered vegetable cultivation.

After lunch, our route will take us winding through the mountains and tea plantations to arrive at Hua Ma cave. You will have time to look around the cave, take some great photos, and if you wish you can have a swim at Silk waterfall. After that we will visit the Tay village of Coc Toc, where the Tay people make their living fishing and from rice and corn cultivation.

On the way, stop in Thai Nguyen to visit the fascinating Museum of the Culture of the Ethnic Minorities of Vietnam, followed by lunch in a street restaurant. We then leave the main road to take a smaller one snaking through the mountains and tea plantations to arrive at the Tay village of Bo Lu.
