Note: From around July to August, there will be a lot of storms and rain. You should avoid going during this time because landslides are likely to occur, which is very dangerous. How to get to Thung Khe Pass?
If you travel from Hanoi, We recommend that you take Highway 6 to Hoa Binh city. Then you travel another 40km to reach Thung Khe market. When you arrive at the market, you can ask the locals about the location and directions to Thung Khe pass.

Thung Khe Pass is actually a stopover for those traveling to Mai Chau , because the distance to Mai Chau is very close. It only takes about 30km more to get there.

- Binh An Passenger Bus (Starting from My Dinh station in Hanoi)
- Hoang Thao Passenger Bus (Starting from My Dinh station in Hanoi)
- Tuan Dung Passenger Car (Will depart from Yen Nghia station at 2:00 p.m. daily)...

Some notes when visiting Thung Khe pass
Thung Khe pass is located quite high above sea level, so for the safest and most comfortable trip, please note the following:
- Prepare warm clothes, handkerchiefs, towels to keep your body warm.
- Prepare personal items, medicines and necessary supplies for travel.
- When you come to explore the mountainous areas of the Northwest, prepare yourself a pair of sturdy shoes so you can move easily without fear of foot pain.
- When check in at Thung Khe pass, you should pay attention to traffic, because this is a national highway so there are many means of transportation.
There are many shops selling drinks here, so ask the price before buying to avoid getting ripped off.
