Dream away on the top deck of your vessel amidst the plentiful limestone
islands in Ha Long Bay, Vietnam. Visit caves, go swimming and kayaking or even
learn some Vietnamese cooking skills. More breathtaking scenery at Bac Son
Valley with its stilted villages and endless rice fields. Enjoy spectacular
panoramic views during a mountain trek and be impressed by the mighty mountains
and lush green forest.
Day 1: Ha Noi - Halong bay cruise, junk overnight (L, D)
To begin the trip, you will be picked up from your hotel in Hanoi at 8.00 AM.
The 4-hour drive, through beautiful rural land of the Red River Delta, takes you
to Halong City where you will embark a cruise boat for discovering the bay.
Halong Bay has been recognized as the world heritage twice and is really a
breathtaking secluded bay with thousands of limestone islands.
Board your cruising vessel and have lunch as you cruise amongst the dramatic
limestone karsts into the marvelous scenery of the World Natural Wonder. Visit a
cave that filled with stunning stalactites and stalagmites, go swimming,
paddling kayak and take part in a Vietnamese cooking demonstration or just
simply relax on the sun deck at sunset. At the end of the day, the crews will
drop the anchor for the night in a place surrounded by many beautiful islands.
Dinner and overnight on boat.
Day 2: Halong - Lang Son - Bac Son valley (B,L,D)
Get up early for the fresh air on the top deck with a cup of warm coffee/tea if
you wish or you can stay longer in your cabin until breakfast time. After the
breakfast, you will have further cruise to other parts of Halong Bay and get on
the tender to visit a fishing village, learn how the fishermen make living on
the water. Enjoy a wholesome brunch before getting back to harbor at noon.
Thence, get back on to your private vehicle for the afternoon scenic drive to
Bac Son Valley. Arrive at Quynh Son village, check in to a local house of the
ethnic Tay people for dinner and homestay tonight.
Day 3: Bac Son exploration (B,L,D)
After the local breakfast, we will get a short transfer to visit a local
workshops where you can get to know how the villagers making stilt-house’s roof
tiles, bricks and see how they burn the tiles at simple kilns. Get dropped at a
back road for trek to the peaceful valley. The scenery along the trek is also
amazing. Your private vehicle will pick you up around noon at the other end of
the trek and take you back to the house for lunch and rest. Continue on the
adventure with a short walk to the foot of the telephone-station mountain. From
here, you will start hike up to the summit of the mountain for a stunning
panorama view of Bac Son Valley. This is marvelous and a great place for
photographers and it is worth after a hard-working hike for everyone. Dinner and
spend the second night at the local house.
Day 4: Bac Son - Hanoi (B,L)
Say good bye to the host family after breakfast, then we drive to Thai Nguyen
City for lunch and visit the Vietnam museum of Ethnology. You will learn more
about Vietnam’s colorful cultures and different typical ethnic groups at this
museum. In the afternoon, head for Hanoi and arrive in Hanoi around 3.00 PM
