Adventure trekking in Ha Giang four days is for the tourist who loves the
thrill of physical activity. A trek through a palm forest , rice terraces ,
mountains and villages of Tay Con Linh. It is also an opportunity to explore the
lifestyle and customs of ethnic communities living in these areas of the
mountainous north of Vietnam.
Day 1: Hanoi - Ha Giang - Quan Ba - Nam Dam (L, D)
Early in the morning our guide will pick you up at your hotel in Ha Noi, then
transfer to Quan Ba via Ha Giang. Have some stops for taking photo and
contemplate breath taking landscape of the area. Arrive Nam Dam village, have a
short rest before enjoying the first lunch with the host family.
Afternoon our local guide will lead you walk around the village. You will have
chance to see the local traditional houses made of compacted soil which are cool
in the summer and warm in the winter to protect people here from severe weather
in the high mountains. You are welcomed to visit the houses whose owners are
very friendly and hospitable. As you walk in the village, you will have the
opportunity to observe daily life of the Dao people.
Depending on the season of the year, if you want to learn about the local
products, you can visit households that produce honey, corn or rice wine, or
visit the tailoring and embroidering group in the village.
After the walk, you come back to your homestay for refresh and have dinner. You
will spend the night at the homestay.
Day 2: Lung Tam hemp weaving village - Dong Van (B,L,D)
From Nam Dam village, you will walk up to the hill at the end of the village to
see the spectacular view of the Can Ty valley, with Mien river flowing through
the villages of Hmong, Nung, Dzay ethnic groups. Continue to go along the little
lane through the terraced fields and woods to come to Lung Tam down the valley.
There, you will visit the workshop and show room of the hemp weaving cooperative
to learn about the process of hemp weaving and admire the stunning hemp
products. Lung Tam hemp products are unique for many features such as: natural
material of hemp trees; no chemical dying; cool, soft fiber; iconic exquisite
motifs of decoration representing ethnic H’Mong culture in the highlands;
natural materials to produce colours.
After visiting the hemp weaving cooperative, our driver will transfer you to
Dong Van. On the way visit Vuong Chi Sinh's house, a land lord of H'Mong hill
tribe in the past.
Arrive Dong Van, check in a homestay, free time to visit the small town. If it
is early you can have a short trek to Don Cao, a top mountain bunker built by
French people in the wartime to control the area.
Day 3: Dong Van - Meo Vac - Ha Giang - Hanoi (B,L)
After breakfast we say "goodbye" to the Dao people and spend 1,5 hour trekking
to Truc Son village. In Truc Son, you will visit the ancient house of over 200
years old that is the only one surviving through the large fires and remains
intact until today, you can learn more about the traditional architectural
character of the Dao house and make our way to the main road. On the way, you
can relish the peace and tranquility of the mountainous region. Lunch in local
restaurant at Tuyen Quang. Arrive in Hanoi, you'll be taken to your hotel.
