Come to the beautiful province of Lang Son and proceed to Mau Son Mountain
where a relaxing moment awaits you. Located 1500 metres above sea level, Mau Son
promises to uplift you with its poetic scenery and cool breeze. Visit the
village of the Red Dao Ethnic Minority and have delightful meals with the
friendly inhabitants. After satisfying your taste-buds, you are free to explore
the rest of the picturesque area. Watch the villagers go through with their
day-to-day activities and learn their culture and traditions along the way. The
journey ends with a cup of delicious Tuyen Son Tea, a local favourite. It's the
perfect break from the bustling city indeed
Day 1: Hanoi - Lang Son - Mau Son mountain (L, D)
Early in the morning our tour guide and driver welcomes tourists at the meeting
place, then depart for Lang Son. On the way, we are going to stop at the town of
Met and free breakfast, and then continue our trip. On the go, tourists can
enjoy the beautiful views of the northeast mountains of Vietnam. In Dong Dang
Downtown, tourists visit Mother Temple and pray God for Happiness, Prosperity,
Longevity. We continue visit other famous destinations in Lang Son such as Tam
Thanh Cave and Nhi Thanh Cave. At noon, we will depart for Lang Son City to have
lunch at the restaurant with the famous local foods.
In the afternoon tourists go to Mau Son (away from Lang Son 30Km).At 14h00, we
reach Mau Son, which is known as Dalat of the northwest and famous for many
famous specialties such as peaches, snow tea, herb wine. This place has a gentle
climate and beautiful romantic scenes. Tourists have free time to do sightseeing
and take photographs. In the evening at Mau Son Resort, tourists have dinner and
then hang out in there.
Day 2: Mau Son exploration - Lang Son (B,L,D)
You wake up early, breathe the fresh air, then have breakfast and take a rest.
We spend the morning free at leisure time to discover villages around Mau Son.
Mau Son is a mountain peak of over 1.500 metres above sea level with a stunning
view and It was ravaged during war with the Chinese and the buildings have
recently been rebuilt in traditional style.
After lunch we check out the hotel and drive down hill to Lang Son. This border
town had been all destroyed during the recent Sino - Vietnamese war, but was
rebuilt to become an important trade center in north eastern region.
As a border province, Lang Son has some markets, the most famous are Dong Kinh
Market and the Old Market, definitely worth visiting. There, you can find
practically everything from gadgets and electronics to housewares and textiles;
however, we should be careful as there are many counterfeit products
We spend the night in Lang Son, don't forget to visit the famous Ky Lua night
market.
Day 3: Lang Son sightseeing - Hanoi (B,L)
After brearkfast we visit the attractive Mac Dynasty Citadel ruins and the two
spellbinding caves, the Tam Thanh Cave and the Nhi Thanh Cave, found only a few
kilometers away. The Tam Thanh Cave has a beautiful pond, and you get to see a
gorgeous vista of the surrounding cultivated land. At the Nhi Thanh Cave, on the
other hand, is an entirely different picture. The man that discovered the cave
back in the 18th century, carved poems into its entrance, which give out a more
Shakespeare-like effect to the cave, as you walk through it and hear the
bubbling river that flows through it. After spending time exploring the area, we
have lunch and get ready for the return trip to Hanoi by taking the modern
four-lane highway from Lang Son that gets us down the mountains in no time. Then
we drive back to Red River Delta, before we finally reach Ha Noi.
